**previous review** Recently there has been an invisible ad that pops up when I search for something. I don't have a problem with ads if it keeps the app free, my issue is that I can't click on anything while it's there. Example: I open the app and search for a title, on the search page an empty see-through box appears. If you try to click on something behind/within the box it goes to a video ad. There's no other way around it. I'm not sure if it's on purpose - again I don't mind ads to keep the app free - but it's a little intrusive in that I can't get around it. If it is on purpose, like I need to watch it before continuing, then the feature needs a tune up. The only way to get around it is to close the app entirely and go back in and start over.
Otherwise I love the app, use it a lot, it's very helpful and in my opinion the app is even better than the actual website.

Unfortunate

I’ve long looked to IMDB for most, if not all of my pop culture news... and unfortunately with the last update I’m forced to use google news instead... The news topic list drones on without a seeming end and in order for me to switch topics (Top, Movies, Tv, Celeb) I either have to scroll all the way back to the top or I have to back out of the news and then open it again and switch. There was a similar issue a few updates back but it was resolved. It’s too clunky now and really like it if they streamlined it again. Until then I’m left giving it a 3 star review... 😞
(Update: I had known about tapping the top of the screen, as I said it’s just a clunky design. Before the update, the topics were at the top and immediately accessible for switching with just a tap. It just felt more streamlined. I am understanding of change and I accept it freely, especially when it makes things easier and functions better. I’m a big fan of the bug fixes that were addressed like when the app would restart as I was changing back and forth between this and other apps. Or when it would close the page I was on when my screen would lock.... Those fixes were great, and I thank you for them.)

Great, Useful App

I use IMDb all the time after I watch a movie, TV episode, etc. and I love it. It's perfect for anything entertainment related and I recommend this app to any movie lovers. In order to keep track of every movie and show I have seen, I add them to my watchlist, and after viewing a movie, I always rate it and occasionally write a review. Overall this is a great app. 5/5 Stars
Edit: I am still giving 5/5 stars for this app, but there has been even more stuffing of votes lately with regards to 1* ratings on Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead especially. Over the past few months, most episodes of TWD have fell around .2-.3 stars each, which is ridiculous considering the fact that older episodes should not be decreasing in ratings this much. Meanwhile, episodes of the overrated Game of Thrones are given 10’s every episode by so many fake accounts. This is hurting the validity of IMDb ratings and I hope that they can do something about these fake votes.

Internet Archive's app doesn't appear to be structured with streaming films as its main purpose, but it's still very possible to watch its movies from an iOS device

In the iPhone app, Internet Archive's movies are a bit hidden in the menus. Though once found, you can find genres and even sort the movies by popularity, date added, or hand-picked films by Internet Archive.

An app for Internet Archive is available for iPhone and iPad devices.
